The Congress on Tuesday slammed claims of the government that the Chief Minister would chair the Investment Promotion Board (IPB) meet at his private residence on Tuesday, and a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, calling both a “farce.”
Addressing media persons at the Congress headquarters a couple of hours prior to the IPB meet, Congress spokesperson Adv Yatish Naik, once more condemned the government’s lack of transparency with regard to the CM’s health while also raising doubts about the CM resuming work from November.
Naik calls the move both “unprecedented” and “unconstitutional.”
“How can a cabinet meeting be held at the private residence of a CM? What kind of farce is this?” demanded Adv Naik adding that one man could not hold the state to ransom in this manner.
Naik also referred to the IPB meeting held earlier in the month where sources had informed that the CM had chaired the meet via video conference. “They’ve fallen flat on their face with their false claims. So to cover that up, they’re continuing the farce,” he said.
Pointing out that if everything was well with the CM he would be in the public eye, Naik asked why the government was hiding him.
