Job seekers made a mad rush at the South Goa district court building to submit their applications for the vacancies in response to the notification issued by the Principal District and Sessions judge, South Goa.
Given that Monday was the last date for the submission of applications for the 113 posts proposed to be filled up by the District and Sessions Principal Judge, the job applicants stood in a serpentine queue to ensure that their applications reaches the court office on time.
Even as the court staff is compiling the data on the number of applications received from the job seekers, sources in the know informed that thousands of candidates are believed to have submitted their applications for the jobs.
The South Goa Principal and Sessions Judge had in a notification advertised around 113 vacant posts. The last date for submitting the applications to the court was Monday till 5.30 am.
Of the 113 advertised posts, 63 posts comprised of the LDCs, followed by 27 peons (MTS), Bailiff (6), watchman (five), Stenographer Grade-III (five), process server (three), driver (two), court manager (one) and liftman (one).
Sources pointed out that the eligible candidates will now be called for the test.
