Kamaxi proprietor remanded to further 14 days custody

Proprietor of Kamaxi Forex Nilesh Raikar was on Thursday remanded to a further period of 14 days in judicial custody. rnThe accused was produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao on Thursday noon on the expiry of the remand period.

A  group of beleaguered depositors had also made their presence felt in and around the court premises with their lawyers to find out whether the  accused is moving the court for bail.
City-based lawyer, Adv Joffery Martins told The Goan that  the lawyers and their clients were present in the court to find out  whether the accused will knock the doors of the court for bail. “As  already decided, we will move an intervention application before the  court to oppose the bail application of the accused as and when it is  moved,” Adv Martins said.

Falsely implicated in Cotigao sanctuary case: Tawadkar
