Verna police have booked a Karnataka native on charges of stealing a scooter parked outside a warehouse in the Verna Industrial Estate.
According to police, a complaint was lodged by Akhtar Hussain Khan of Chandrawada, Fatorda, who alleged that his scooter was stolen on September 15, 2025, at around 8.20 pm.
Police said the scooter had been parked in the open parking area outside Saaj Traders Warehouse at the Verna Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) when the accused, identified as Mahmad Akyif Makanadar, a native of Karnataka, allegedly committed the theft.
Based on the complaint, Verna Police have registered an offence under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
Further investigation is being carried out by Head Constable Sandeep Naik of Verna Police Station under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
