A native of Karnataka was arrested on charges of illegal possession of MDMA, a popular party drug worth Rs 45,000, Anjuna Police informed.
The accused Darshan K M (27) a resident of Kodagu, Karnataka was apprehended and has been remanded to police custody.
Acting on specific information, Anjuna Police conducted a raid in a parking area near helipad, Vagator where the alleged accused was caught and MDMA drugs were found in his possession.
Police registered an offence under section 21 (a) of the NDPS Act.
The investigation team consisted of PSI Dhiraj Devidas, Constables Ajinkya Ghgale, Suraj Fondekar, Dipesh Chodankar, Mayur Ghadi and Krishan Bugde.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Dhiraj Devidas under supervision of Anjuna PI Prashal Desai, Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi and SP North Nidhin Valsan.
