Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday met State office bearers of AAP Goa over lunch and delivered what party insiders described as a “masterclass” on organisation building and public outreach.

Kejriwal, joined by AAP Goa President Valmiki Naik and Goa in-charge Atishi, listened to suggestions from local leaders and shared his vision for strengthening the party’s presence in the State.

He urged cadres to deepen grassroots connections and become the “voice of Goa.”

“AAP’s strength has always been our connection with people,” Kejriwal told the gathering.

“Strengthen the organisation at the grassroots and listen to people’s problems. Help them raise issues and ensure those issues are taken to their logical conclusion. Helping people and getting their work done is the real purpose of politics,” Kejriwal said.

Party leaders raised concerns over large-scale land conversions, destruction of khazan lands, and damage to lakes and rivers. They said unchecked development backed by the BJP was harming Goa’s ecology and livelihoods.

Naik said Goa was facing an “unprecedented assault” on its land and water bodies. “Our responsibility is to stand with the people and raise these issues fearlessly. We must strengthen our organisation and help people protect their land and fight for their rights,” he said.

Atishi stressed that AAP’s politics was rooted in service, honesty and accountability.

“Local leaders must engage more deeply with communities, understand their concerns and work consistently to resolve them. This people-centric approach will help AAP grow stronger across Goa,” she said.

The meeting, described by party sources as both interactive and instructional, focused on building a robust organisational structure while keeping environmental protection at the core of AAP’s agenda.

AAP said in a statement that its clear aim was to emerge as the most credible voice of the State, positioning itself as an alternative to traditional political forces.

The luncheon meet marked a renewed push by AAP to consolidate its base in Goa ahead of upcoming political challenges, with leaders vowing to intensify outreach and strengthen their presence across constituencies.
