Kids of freedom fighters gets letters
PANAJI: The Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar presented appointment letters of government jobs to thirteen beneficiary children of freedom fighters in the fourth round under the scheme to provide employment to the children of freedom fighters at the Secretariat.
Parsekar informed that the children of freedom fighters are provided jobs in various capacities like teachers, peon, driver, LDC, junior steno, labourer, field assistant, etc. He said the government has provided employment to 111 beneficiaries out of 406 beneficiaries. He also said attempts are being made to provide employment to the remaining 295 beneficiaries before next Goa Liberation Day.
Secretary to CM Sharat Chauhan, addl secretary (Home) Sanjiv Gadkar, under secretary (Home) Harish Adconkar, presidents of freedom fighters associations Chandrakant Kenkre and Shyamsundar Nagvekar, and others were present.
