K’taka section of Anmod Ghat closed for heavy vehicles from Jan 5

BELAGAVI

In view of double tracking work, the Karnataka section of the Anmod Ghat road will be closed for heavy vehicles from January 5.

According to an order issued by the Uttar Kannada District Deputy Commissioner, the ghat section will be closed for movement of heavy and multi axle vehicles as the double tracking of a section between Tinaighat and Castlerock will be implemented during this period.

While the heavy vehicles have to reach Goa via Yellapur and Ankola, an alternative route has been provided for cars and light vehicles to reach Anmod.

Light vehicles from Ramnagar going to Goa will have to ply via Tinaighat, Marsgal to reach Anmod and vehicles coming from Goa after reaching Anmod will have to ply via Castlerock, Chandewadi and Jagalbet to reach Ramnagar and further to Dharwad or Belagavi.
