LED bulbs given at Khola
CANACONA: South Goa MP Adv Narendra Sawaikar stated that Khola village will be developed on par and as envisaged in the developmental plan for an ideal village under the Sansad Adarsh Gram scheme.
He was speaking during the launch of Ujala scheme. Over 1500 LED bulbs were distributed at Khola Panchayat.
Quepem Congress MLA Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar was also present.
Sawaikar appealed to the residents not to miss in availing the scheme, as it will not only benefit them monetarily, but also help the government in saving energy.
MLA Kavlekar, Khola ZP member ShanuVelip and Khola Sarpanch Ajay Pagui also spoke on the occasion.
Earlier, ex-Khola ZP member Krishna Velip welcomed, while executive engineer (electricity) Santosh Lolienkar compered the function attended by over 500 people.
Khola village is adopted by MP Sawaikar under the national scheme of Sansad Adarsh Gram. People have been complaining of no development yet even though a year has already passed since the adoption.
