Legal literacy prog held
VALPOI: The Valpoi free legal aid cell of V M Salgaocar College of Law conducted a programme on Mundkar and Tenancy Acts at the panchayat hall in Guleli-Sattari.
Lecturer of Salgaocar College Dr Naguesh Colvalkar briefed residents on the Mundkar and Tenancy Act. He also gave solutions to various issues/problems raised by the villagers.
Valpoi-based lawyer Yeshwant Gauns spoke on Land Revenue Code.
ZP member Premnath Hazare, who was the chief guest praised Dr Colvalkar and the college for organising such programmes, especially at village-level for the benefit of the people.
Hazare appealed to the residents to derive benefits from the services given by Valpoi free legal aid cell. Deputy Sarpanch Guleli Ujwala Malekar also spoke.
Members of the cell, Akshata Gauns, Afaq Khan, Safira Shaikh, Mizba Beig, Pranav Vaze, Akshata Desai, Nagesh Gaonkar and Siddesh Gaonkar, interacted with villagers on various issues related to land problems in Sattari.
