Lightning struck a house at Guirdolim on Thursday evening, leaving it damaged and the electrical fittings gutted. Two teak trees standing close to the house were also ripped by the lightning.
Guirdolim Panch member Franky informed that the impact of the lightning was so intense that the roof titles were flung around 40 metres away from the house. “The electrical fittings have been gutted in the fire. The roof of the house has suffered major damage,” he said.
The inmates of the house escaped the fury of the lightning since they were on the rear side of the house.
