The residents of the society, who are flat owners in the building, allege that the builder, Vijay Deshmukh, has carried out illegal construction in the area and further also conducted prayer service illegally in the basement of the building. On Sunday morning, some flat owners got together and closed the main gate of the society, thereby stopping the builder and others from entering the society. The builder, Vijay Deshmukh, rejected all the charges of the residents and said he has not broken any conditions and everything was being conducted as per the provisions of the law. Deshmukh later filed a complaint with the Mapusa Police against five accused, who are the flat owners in the society for having been restrained from entering into his premises at around 9 am.
