The Big Foot Trust, a registered charitable trust, recently held its 14th annual felicitation function of the SSC toppers from schools in Loutolim and Raia at the Big Foot Tiatr Hall of Fame in Loutolim. The chief guest and guest of honour were Fr Mathias D’Cunha Rector/Principal of Community College Don Bosco, Loutolim and Maria Virginia Bras Gomes, who works for the Ministry for Labour and Social Security, Portugal, respectively. Fr Mathias enlightened the gathering about strengthening their education, and pointed out that the learning process never ends and that one should strive to discover something new everyday. The students felicitated on the occasion were Bento Fernandes, Valanni Costa and Hazel Fernandes from Saviour of the World High School; Mackenzie Gomes and Anju Kadabgaonkar from Our Lady of Snow High School; Jonathan Gomes, Renisha. G P Fernandes and Maria Delsy from St Thereza’s Convent High School. Maureen Alvares proposed the vote of thanks, and asked the students to follow their dreams and work hard.
