The occupants of a car had a lucky escape after her car was hit by a tourist bus and then dragged a few meters away at Ganeshpuri-Marna slope on Sunday.
According to the Anjuna police, the incident took place at around 12.45 pm. A tourist bus driven by a woman was proceeding to Morjim beach with picnickers from Panaji. When the bus reached the Ganeshpuri-Marna slope, the lady driver lost control and collided into an oncoming car (GA.03.R.7546) proceeding to Panaji from Arambol.
The bus dragged the car a few meters away before flinging it in to the woods. The car was completely damaged in the mishap, but the four occupants of the car (from Mumbai) escaped with minor injuries.
Police suspect the driver lost control after the brakes of the bus failed.
