Residents of Malbhat have requested the Margao police to intensify patrolling in the locality and also sought a status update on the proposed police outpost.
In his letter to the officer in charge of the Margao Police Station, resident Dattaraj Pai Fondekar drew the police’s attention to the increasing incidents of thefts, robberies and other criminal activities in the Malbhat locality. He said these incidents have become more frequent in recent months, creating fear and insecurity among residents, especially senior citizens, women and children.
“We sincerely request you to increase police patrolling in the Malbhat area, particularly during the evening and night hours. A stronger police presence will help deter criminal activities, improve public safety and restore the confidence of residents,” Fondekar stated.
He added, “We would also like to request an update regarding the proposed police outpost in the Malbhat area.”
