Man arrested for theft of motorcycles

The Colva police have arrested a 20 year old man, who is suspected to have been involved in theft of motorcycles.

According to Colva police, the suspect, one David (20), a resident of Colva, was arrested
at Colva beach on Friday morning. According to Colva police, the arrest was effected
following reliable information obtained by them. Police informed that the suspect
confessed to having been involved in cases of motorcycle thefts when he was shown a
motorcycle which was attached by the police.
Police claim to be examining the involvement of the suspect in some other cases of
motorcycle thefts reported from areas like Margao, Verna and Maina-Curtorim.
The suspect will be produced for remand on Saturday, police added.
Further investigations are in progress.
