An inmate in Colvale jail did a Mike Tyson on another biting off his ear during a scuffle in the prison cell.
A fight between three jail inmates including two Nigerians at Covale central jail ended with one inmate allegedly biting a potion of a Nigerian’s ear off on Sunday, authorities said.
The incident happened late in the evening at around 8 pm.
The three undertrial prisoners who were incarcerated in an NDPS cell -- Azad Kinjley and Onyeka Ejieka both Nigerians and Abhishek Hiremath got into a scuffle when one Nigerian bit off the ear of another Nigerian.
All three were shifted to the North Goa District Hopsital, Mapusa where two of the inmates were discharged after treatment while Onyeka Ejieka who suffered an injury to his ear has been admitted to the district hospital.
Jail authorities were in the process of filing a police complaint about the incident.
