The Court of Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao, on Monday, held guilty Ladislau Fernandes, a resident of Colva under section 323, 341 and 346 of the IPC.
The court, however, acquitted him for the offenses under section 336, 461 and 466 of the IPC. The point of sentence will be heard on next Monday.
The court headed by Judge Ram S Prabhu Dessai had framed charges against Ladislau for voluntarily causing hurt to a girl between May 17, 2006 and August 28, 2006. He was further charged by the court for wrongfully restraining the girl for a period of more than 10 days, thereby committing offense punishable under section 341 of IPC.
