The rain continued with its fury on Friday with several roads reporting waterlogging and complaints of tree fall and compound walls collapsing coming from several places.
Several low-lying areas, especially in Guirim, continued to remain inundated.
The fire personnel attached to the Mapusa fire station were kept on their toes throughout Friday after at least eight emergency calls of tree falls were reported from different parts of Bardez.
A huge mango tree came crashing down on the electrical wires and road near Kirti Vidyalaya, Siolim at around 6 am while another mango tree fell on a house at Mushirvaddo, Revora at around 7.30 am.
The total loss in the second incident was reported to be around Rs 25,000 while property of Rs 50,000 was saved by timely action of the fire officials.
Similarly, a jungle tree fell on a house at Gaunsa-vaddo, Mapusa.
While a coconut and a bhendi tree were reported to have come crashing down on a house in Guirim, a coconut tree was reported to have fallen at Chapora.
A teakwood tree fell on a house at Bastora in the evening and a tree was reported to have fallen on the electrical wire at Pomburpa.
A jungle tree also fell on a road at Olaulim in Aldona.
