Marathi drama contest
MARGAO: The all Goa Marathi drama competition organised by Gomant Vidhya Niketan (GVN) will begin on February 29, at the Baba Kare hall in GVN.
The competition will be inaugurated at 6.30 pm and seven dramas will be staged by Goan drama companies.
'Punaschh' (Rangdarpan, Mandrem), 'Apar Udas Kavita' (Shree Ganjeshwari Sports and Cultural Club, Ponda), 'Yaaj Sathi Kela Hota Attahas' (Shree Ganaraj Sanskrutik Kala Mandal, Ibrampur), 'Kalay Tasme Namah' (Dharni Kala Srushti, Merces), 'Valuchen Ghar' (Netravali Yuva Manch, Netravali), 'Care Taker' (Rudreshwar Yuvak Sangh, Panaji) and 'Zhopi Gelela Jaaga Zhala' (Athashree, Ponda) are the dramas to be staged.
The first four dramas will be staged from February 29 to March 3, while the other three will be staged from March 8 to 10. All shows will commence at 7 pm. The prize distribution function will be held on March 11, at 7 pm, after drama 'Mandita Kaiwaar,' produced by GVN's Kala Vibhag.
