Margao SGDPA market all set for its first 5TPD bio-methanation plant

MARGAO:  The stage is finally set for the installation of Margao’s first5TPD bio-methanation plant at the SGPDA market, with Pune-based Urja Bio SystemPvt Ltd mobilizing its plants and machinery at the site.
Ahead of the installation of the bio-methanation plant, the Goa State UrbanDevelopment Agency (GSUDA) descended at the site in the SGDPA market on Fridayand took stock of the situation along with Margao Municipal officials.
While a JCB machine was at work at the site to level the ground before the installationof the bio-methanation plant, the team took into account various aspects of theproject before the Pune-based contractor starts executing the project.
Director of Urja Bio Solutions, Nitin Deshpande informed that the 5TPDbio-methanation plant will be set up on land admeasuring 5000 square feet. Hesaid work is presently underway at the site to dismantle an old structure topave way for the new plant at the spot.

“The required excavation for new plant will be start bytomorrow. The raw material required for construction of new plant will reach onsite by Saturday. The mechanical and electrical items required for this newproject has already reached and delivered on site,” he said.
Deshpande said the structural consultant has been arranged by Urja locally tomonitor RCC work and execution of all construction work.

“The required manpower for construction as well asfabrication work, around 15-17 labour to the precise, besides the supervisorteam are reaching on site by Friday evening,” he said, while saying that thecompany has put a plan in place to complete all work on the project before theonset of monsoons.
