A group of Margao new market traders turned out Good Samaritan after they handed over a gold bracelet found at the Zambaulim Gulalutsav of Lord Dambab on Tuesday.
The gold bracelet was handed over to the rightful owner Sujit Lawande by Rahul Gadekar and Viraj at the Lord Damodar Temple at the Pimpalkatta on Saturday.
Rahul told the media that he along with friend and others had gone to Zambaulim to celebrate the famous Lord Dambab Gulal on Tuesday last when they spotted a gold bracelet on the ground.
After the duo found that the bracelet was made of real gold, they opened a social media group inviting people who have lost the bracelet to identify and claim the item. “There were so many claims, but their claims were all turned out false. Finally, one Sujit contacted me and gave the right description of the bracelet. Hence we have called the owner to take possession of the bracelet at the Pimpalkatta,” Rahul Gadekar told the media.
Sujit expressed his gratitude to Rahul Gadekar and Viraj and others who had found the bracelet at Zambaulim.
