VASCO:
A 52-year-old mason was found dead at the Sanvordem Railway Station on Monday morning.
Vasco Railway Police received a note from the station master of Sanvordem Railway station at around 11.30 am stating that a man on Platform 2 appeared to have been dead.
The deceased was later identified by his nephew as Babujan Mohidinsab Mulla, a mason from Naginmatti village in Haveri-Karnataka.
According to police, the deceased was a chronic alcoholic and is believed to have died due to an illness, and no foul play is suspected. The body has been preserved at SGDH Hospital Morgue in Margao for further medico-legal formalities.
Vasco Railway Police have registered an unnatural death under section 194 BNS and investigation is being conducted by Vasco Railway Police Inspector Amarnath P Passi under the guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh.
