"We are contemplating on banning export of fish because Goans do not get access to variety of fish. I personally feel fish should be easily available to all Goans and the government will take steps in that direction," Paliencar said.
The fisheries minister had recently said that government was planning to reduce subsidy to trawler owners in order to provide cheaper fish to people.
Paliencar on Tuesday said despite dishing out subsidy of Rs 108 crore in the last five years, Goans did not get fish at affordable rates in the local market.
He had also said that a major part of the fish was being exported.
"My personal opinion is that export of fish has to be banned so that fish is made available to Goans," Palyekar said.
The minister said he had no issue with the music festival hosted by an Ahmedabad-based company in Vagator. "The music festival will take place from 10 am to 10 pm. According to Madhya Pardesh sound act that Goa follows music is allowed till 10 pm," Paliencar said. "The electronic dance music fest will take place within the permitted time," he added.
It may be recalled that the Ahmedabad-based M/s Sudarshan Entertainment Pvt Ltd has submitted a proposal to the tourism department to host a three-day music festival at Vagator from December 28 to 30.
In the past, Paliencar spoke against loud music and music being played late in the night. He had also expressed strong reservations against EDMs.
