Mesta only clicking selfies to show he is working: Nanoskar

VASCO

Hitting back at councillor Sandesh Mesta, former MMC Chairperson Bhavna Nanoskar said he was useless and only wanted to take selfies on sites to show his work on social media.

“I had gone on a site visit to the garbage plant along with Sandesh Mesta, who is now lying. I agree that I did not stay for long at the place as water was flowing due to rains and the garbage was on the entire road.”

Detailing the list of measures she had taken on account of garbage accumulated at the site, Nanoskar said: “I felt so bad for nearby residents that I immediately returned, met the chief officer and told him that we must do something to help residents who live in such bad stench.”

“I also put up a proposal with the chief officer to buy extra machinery and ask for grants, if required, so that garbage could be cleared immediately which the chief officer admitted in today’s meeting.”

“I also sent a team to clear the garbage from the roads immediately. But while they were working, Mesta went and clicked selfies and loaded these on social media to show people he was working. While I cleared the garbage, Mesta was busy clicking selfies.”

Nanoskar said it was important to help those residents confronted with the situation. “I challenge him to complete my proposal if he has the guts and capacity. He must complete the proposal I had put to clear the garbage from the site if he says he is working for the people. It’s my challenge to him and I want to see if he can accept my challenge and clear the garbage from the area for his voters,” said Nanoskar.
