Opposition parties in the State have slammed the Sawant government saying it was not serious in its fight for Mhadei and that both the engines of the double engine sarkar were out to fool the people of Goa and Karnataka.
Leader of Opposition Yuri Alemão, said that the decision was a ‘ploy’ by both the engines of the “double engine sarkar” to fool “both the people of Goa and Karnataka.”
“They are not serious. I believe that this a failure. This is a ploy to make sure that both the double engines along with the triple engine can fool the people of Karnataka. This is part of the ploy. After the Karnataka elections you will see that the whole situation will be different,” Alemão said.
Goa Forward Party leader Vijai Sardesai said that Goa received nothing new by approaching the Supreme Court.
“This is a setback for Goa. Goa had sought interim relief for the works that are ongoing, which is Goa's allegation that works are ongoing. No interim relief has been given to Goa to stop ongoing works if any,” Sardesai said.
“Why did we go to Court? We went to Court so that Supreme Court interferes because the DPR has been approved. The Supreme Court has said they do not wish to interfere. So how is this a victory?” Sardesai asked.
