On the eve of Aam Admi Party leader Arvind Kejrival’s rally in Panaji, Goa Vikas Party

supremo Mickky Pacheco on Saturday launched a scathing attack on the BJP and the AAP,

accusing the ruling party in the State of trying to promote AAP to split the minority votes and

retain power through the backdoor.

Flanked by his supporters, Mickky further told the media that the GVP is open for an alliance with

like minded regional parties, saying both the national parties, the Congress and BJP has failed to

serve the State.

Saying that he has severed ties with the BJP-led government, Mickky said that GVP Benaulim

MLA Caitu Silva is supporting the government in his individual capacity.

“The AAP is the B team of the BJP. They are moving from one constituency to another in the

State. The AAP has been propped up by the BJP to split the minority vote,” Mickky said, while

demanding to know why the BJP is silent on the presence of AAP in Goa.

Saying that corruption has increased manifold during the BJP government-rule, Mickky said it is time for Goans to support the regional forces to form the next government on the lines of others states.

“The BJP has realized that the people are not with them. That’s the reason why the BJP is

supporting the AAP to split the minority vote,” he said, while asserting that the minorities need to

come under one platform ahead of the 2017 election.

Exuding confidence that people of Goa will give him and the GVP the support to fulfill their

aspirations, Mickky said the BJP has failed to deliver the goods during the last four years.

When the media pointed out that he too was supporting the BJP-led government during their

period, Mickky said though the GVP had extended support to the ruling party, but he has now realized that there’s no difference between the BJP and the Congress.
