Acharya assures Tilamol bypass road for mining transport will come up soon

The Mission Bypass members and the locals made it clear that they will continue the agitation until the bypass road is operational.
On Wednesday morning, many locals including women staged a protest at Tilamol, holding hoardings demanding a bypass road for mining transport.
Later, Mines and Geology Director Prasanna Acharya met the agitators at Tilamol and told them that the government respects people’s sentiments and people’s agitation.
He further said that after listening to the grievances faced by the locals from Tilamol, Curchorem and Quepem areas, they tried their best to regulate mining transport so that there should not be fatal accidents and traffic-related issues. Later, Acharya requested the agitators to end their agitation and allow mining transportation from Tilamol-Curchorem road. He also assured that the bypass road will come up soon.
The Mission Bypass members remained firm in opposing mining transport from plying along the main road (Tilamol-Curchorem) and maintained that the mining transport will be allowed only from mining bypass road for the safety of the people.
