The magisterial inquiry report into the alleged assault on Cavrem panch Ravindra Velip has been submitted to the Home Department with the report finding no evidence that Velip has been assaulted by persons who entered from outside, as claimed by him.
The report has, however made recommendations for the frequent transfers, mid career training as well as maintenance of the jail premises. The inquiry report has not found any evidence and as such has remained inconclusive.
Earlier, the report filed by Inspector General of Prisons Elvis Gomes has submitted his report which also remained inconclusive. However on the demand for an independent inquiry, the Chief Minister had assigned the task to Additional Collector North Swapnil Naik to submit his inquiry report.
