Minor landslides and incidents of trees falling were reported in different parts of the Ponda and Dharbandora talukas on Thursday.
A retaining wall by the side of the drain collapsed at Talaulim, damaging power supply and a water pipeline in the process.
As a result, power and water supply was shut down in Adpai, Durbhat and Agapur areas.
Talaulim Sarpanch Vasundhara Talawalikar, former sarpanch Dilesh Gawkar and other Panch members rushed to the spot and took stock of the situation the incident.
The repair work has begun and work is expected to be completed by late Thursday night.
Incidents of trees falling on roads were reported at 10 places in Farmagudi, Bethora, Dhavali, Bandora, Kavalem and other places, disrupting traffic along the routes.
With the Ponda-Panaji road blocked at Farmagudi after a tree came crashing down, Traffic Police diverted traffic along the Bandora road.
The Ponda Fire Services and electricity department personnel were busy at various sites to clear the fallen trees and to restore power supply.
