A 24-year-old youth from Nagpur, who went missing from December 28, was found dead at Bhope-Harmal plateau on Thursday around 1.30 pm.
Harsahebsingh Baveja was seen last with four 'godmen' at Colamba, who were later arrested on suspicion.
After conducting the inquest panchnama, the police sent the body for autopsy, which will be conducted on Friday and the exact cause of death will be known, informed the police.
It may be recalled that Pernem Police on Tuesday arrested four 'godmen', who were operating near a banyan tree at Godetalav-Waghcolamb in Harmal, in connection with the disappearance of Baveja.
The accused were identified as Ashokkumar Rana of Himachal Pradesh (62), and Niminath Arunkumar (62), Ejanand Mahamad Yusuf (38) and Harpal Gurucharan (70), all three from Jharkhand.
Bhaveja was with these godmen before he went missing on December 28. Bhaveja's father had lodged a police complaint on Tuesday, and acting on the complaint, Pernem Police arrested all the four godmen.
