Driver injured as tipper truck turns turtle
MARGAO: The driver of a tipper truck was injured when the truck he was driving turned turtle on the Ponda road at Raia
According to onlookers, the incident was reported late Tuesday evening when two speeding tipper trucks proceeding towards Ponda brushed against each other resulting in a minor collision. This resulted in one of the tipper truck turning turtle, and, miraculously came back to the upright position, but not before causing injuries to the driver, one Sheerif Fernandes, a resident of Usgao.
Onlookers said one of the truck was extensively damaged in the accident.
Police said the driver was later moved to GMC, Bambolim.
An electricity pole was also damaged in the accident.
