Margao Municipal Council daily wage workers on Wednesday called on chairperson Babita Angle Prabhudesai with a plea to clear their daily wages.
While the daily wage workers sat in the municipal corridor, a two-member delegation called on the chairperson to discuss the grievances of the workers.
The chairperson assured the delegation that the municipality would resolve their grievances within a day or two as per the notified wage. She told the Municipal Administration and Taxation officer to ensure that the demand of the workers is met within a day or two.
The workers also drew attention of the chairperson to the fact that they do not receive the PF slips and requested Prabhudesai to put the thing in order.
