The Madhya Pradesh police is believed to have approached the court in their State to seek the transfer of the accused persons in the Betalbatim gang rape to investigate into the 20 criminal cases allegedly involving dreaded accused Iswhar Mackwana.
Colva police station in-charge, PI Filomeno Costa pointed out that the police in Madhya Pradesh have approached the court in that state. However, he added, the Colva police is yet to receive any communication from the court till date.
“May be since the Colva police have already chargesheeted the three accused in the Betalbatim gang rape, the Madhya Pradesh police must have moved the court. We may receive the communication directly from the court since the matter is fixed for hearing of arguments before framing of charge,” PI Costa added.
