Mrugana Sawaikar of Dhempo Higher Secondary School won the first prize in the 16th Radha Mukund Naik Elocution Competition organized by Konkani Bhasha Mandal in collaboration with Dnyanprasarak Mandal College (DMC) at Assgao.
The second prize went to Nidhi Naik of Shree Saraswati Higher Secondary School while the third prize went to Larya Fernandes aof Harmal Panchkroshi Higher Secondary School.
Nilambuj Thakur of Government Higher Secondary School, Valpoi, Sarvadnya Patil of S Samiti Higher Secondary School and Shervin Myron Dias of Rosary Higher Secondary School received the consolation prizes.
The competition was recently held in the auditorium of the college. Twenty-nine contestants from higher secondary schools in Goa participated in the competition.
The prize distribution ceremony was presided over by Prof DB Arolkar, the Principal of DMC College.
