Anjuna Police on Sunday arrested a 25-year-old man with illegal possession of narcotics substance Methaemphatamine.
The accused Himanshu Goyal (25) was nabbed in a raid and during a search he was found in possession of Methamphetamine and Ganja worth Rs 15,000.
According to Mapusa SDPO Jivba Dalvi, acting on specific information a raid was carried out at one place at Jungle Hostel in Vagator during which the accused was trapped.
The accused has been arrested under sections 20(b)(ii)(A) and 22(a) of NDPS Act and is presently in lockup.
The raiding team consisted of Anjuna PI Prashal Dessai, LPSI Sneha Sawal, Constables Mayur Ghadi, Shubam Mayekar, Snehal Malik, Ramdas Harmalkar, Sadashiv Gaude and Rupesh Azgaonkar.
Further investigation is in progress.
