Eminent journalist and columnist Swaminathan S Anklesaria Aiyar will deliver a lecture 'From Narasimha Rao to Narendra Modi' at the conference hall, Ravindra Bhavan, Margao on November 24, at 6 pm.

The lecture has been instituted by MS Prabhu’s friends in his name under the banner of Konkani Bhasha Mandal. Aiyar will give his views on development, economic and social issues over the last 25 years, putting the Modi regime in perspective.

The announcement has been made by Datta D Naik on behalf of friends of MS Prabhu on the occasion of the birth anniversary of MS Prabhu on November 6.

In a statement, Datta said that MS Prabhu had played an active role for almost 50 years in Goa’s public life from the 60s till his death. “Prabhu’s friends have decided to make a memorial in his memory and have made a corpus of Rs 5 lakh which has been handed over to Konkani Bhasha Mandal to institute a lecture in English or any other Indian languages by a renowned speaker every year,” he said.

Swaminathan S Anklesaria Aiyar is a prominent Indian journalist and columnist. He is consulting editor for the Economic Times and writes regularly for the Economic Times and The Times of India. He has two books to his credit - Towards Globalisation (1992) and Swaminomics: Escape from the Benevolent Zookeepers (2008).

Pundalik alias Bhai Anant Keni who has taken the initiative for corpus for MS Prabhu has appealed the friends of MS Prabhu who to contribute in favour of Konkani Bhasha Mandal.
