'Nachom-ia Kumpasar' to premiere in Toronto

After been showcased in numerous film festivals world wide and winning many awards, the acclaimed Konkani film 'Nachom-ia Kumpasar' will be premiered in Toronto on April 10.
“The Goan Overseas Association is proud to bring 'Nachom-ia Kumpasar' to Toronto and we look forward to the support of all Konkani and non-Konkani speaking individuals (the movie comes with English subtitles) who will experience this masterpiece of Goan culture as a tribute to the unsung musicians of Goa,” states a press release.
The film has been nominated in Johannesburg at the Rapid Lion Film Festival, nominated for Best Actress and Best Sound Design and in California for the United International Film Festival (UIFF) in music.
Nachom-ia Kumpasar has already been screened in North America Chicago and Seattle, Vancouver in Canada, South America in Mexico, Australia, South Africa, in the Gulf in Qatar, Dubai, Kuwait, Bahrain, Muscat, Bahamas film festival, Honolulu in Hawaii, Melbourne Indian Film festival.
Plans are on to screen the film in New Zealand later this month and Singapore thereafter.
