Nagoa school gets Goa’s first-ever STEAM lab

Chairman of Goa Board of Education J R Rebello, inaugurated Goa’s First school-based Science, Technology, Engineering, The Arts & Mathematics (STEAM) lab at Green Meadows School, Nagoa. The lab is the brainchild of Goa-based company Creative Makerz.

Creative Makerz provides STE(A)M Educational Laboratory Setup with class wise STEM curriculum based programmes in robotics, IoT, 3D printing, aero modelling, etc.  
Maxwell Saby Rodrigues, of Creative Makerz said students can use latest technologies to make learning more meaningful and understandable. 
Rebello, said, “Our dream is to make Goa an advanced State in education. If we want to bring a change in society it has to be through such innovative and tech-based educational programmes.”  
Green Meadows is the first school in Goa to be part of this venture by Creative MakerZ.  
Manager Robbie Panesar said, “Money was worth investing for the future of students. We will make sure that students get 100 percent benefits of learning.” The principal Kiranjeet Sodhi said, “STEAM defines science and technology interpreted through engineering and arts, all based in mathematical elements.”  
Lawrence Lobato Faria, Pitre, Sameer Mujawar, Anant Joshi, K D Bhatt, Bhatt and others were present. Arvind Pitre also spoke on the occasion.

Navy Chief Sunil Lanba c0mes calling at Goa Shipyard Limited

Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Sunil Lanba paid a maiden visit to the Goa Shipyard Limited on Thursday and was briefed about the present capabilities and future outlook of GSL in the presence of directors and senior naval officers.
