Naik lays foundation for bridge in Kasarpal

Union minister for AYUSH Shripad Naik on Friday laid foundation for the proposed bridge and road at Harijanwada kasarpal in Latambarcem panchayat area.
Bicholim MLA Naresh Sawal, Latambarcem ZP member Sanjay Shetye, president of kalika devasthan committee Prabhakar Vernekar, Panch member Manda Ghadi, Bablo Gaonkar ,Babanrao Rane , Bicholim BJP mandal president Vallbh Salkar , Shilpa Naik Damini Gaonkar, Padmakar Malik and engineer Sanjy Vaze were amongst others present on the occasion..
Speaking on the occasion central minister Shripad Naik said that, the bridge will be constructed at the cost of 65lakhs through MP laad fund. He also added that development of village is a need of the hour and hence has utilized maximum MP Laad funds for the rehabilitation of neglected villages of North Goa. He also said during his tenure of 15 years as North Goa MP he has undertaken about 700 projects which include crematoriums, community halls, educational institutions, cultural building, and roads in rural areas other development projects. He also added that about 100 more projects have been sanctioned this year. He also stressed the need to pay more attention towards Harijan community being a weaker segment in the Society. He also called upon rural leaders to shoulder the responsibility of developing the infrastructure in the area in order to get maximum benefits of MP laid funds.
MLa Naresh Sawal said that rural folks are still facing so many basic problems and the proposed construction of bridge will bring more development in Harijanwada as they are facing problems due to non availability of roads and bridges. He also said that government should be keen over different village development programs.
