Margao police have sent a team to Dharmasthal in Karnataka in search of the accused husband who was wanted in connection with the death of his wife at Dongorim-Navelim earlier this week.
Margao Sub-divisional Police officer, DySP Dinraj Govekar, said that a Margao police team was dispatched to Dharmasthal to lay their hands on the accused Mohan Mehta, who has been booked by the police for the murder of his wife, Chandraleka.
While the police have registered a case of murder against Mohan based on a complaint filed by the daughter of the couple, Margao police say that the arrest of the husband will throw light on the circumstances leading to the death of the wife since the bathroom was found locked from inside.
The police are conducting further investigations.
