A 23-year-old youth from Kolhapur died, while two others were injured, when the two-wheeler in which they were travelling was knocked down by a tempo at Malpe junction along the Malpe-Pernem highway on Sunday.
According to the police, Madhukar Kamble, along with two others, was proceeding on their motorcycle (GA-03-F-5162) towards Pernem, when the tempo (MH-08-H-1306), which was proceeding towards Patradevi, hit the two-wheeler.
Police said Kamble died, while two others were injured. Tempo driver Vijay Rasal (39) has been arrested in this connection. Police is investigating the case.
