A 24-year-old resident of Karmali, Old Goa, drowned in the river Dudhsagar at Kajumall-Dhatfam, Collem, on Sunday evening.
According to Collem Police, Sandesh Kundaikar along with his friends had gone for some work at Dharbandora, from where they went to Dudhsagar river at Collem.
Police said while they were swimming, Sandesh struggled in the waters. He was retrieved and was rushed to Usgao Primary Health Centre, where he was declared dead on arrival. Police is investigating the case.
