Citing reasons that the state administration had come to a standstill and all ministers including that of coalition partners coming out loud that there were many projects stuck due to administration issues, Niz Goenkar Revolutionary Front (NGRF) on Thursday demanded the resignation of Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.

NGRF also said that time had come when RTI Activist had to go on a hunger strike and various citizens had to march to the CM’s private residence to demand his resignation and this was a black dot in the history of Goan politics

Speaking to the media, NGRF spokesperson Chandrashekar Vasta said that Manohar Parrikar would be held responsible if the RTI Activist Rajan Ghate (who was on hunger strike to demand the resignation of CM) faced health issues

“It is sad that today activist have to go on hunger strike to demand the resignation of the Chief Minister who is ailing. I want to remind Parrikar that it was him who had referred to the Former Deputy Prime Minister Lal Krishna Advani and Murli Manohar Joshi as stale pickle. It is the same BJP Government who has removed the ministry from Pandurang Madkaikar and Francis D’Souza on health grounds. Who will be responsible if something goes wrong with Rajan Ghate’s health while he is on a hunger strike. Since it is reported that CM Manohar Parrikar is not in a position to meet people then why is he still holding on to the chair?” Vasta said.

“NGRF demands his immediate resignation. I want to tell the BJP workers that they must now ensure that Parrikar resigns voluntarily and makes way for a new chief minister so that the administration comes back to normal and Goa gets good

governance,” he added.
