Nigerian held for overstaying
MAPUSA: Mapusa Police on Wednesday midnight arrested a Nigerian national at Parra on charges of staying illegally in the country.
According to Mapusa Police, PSI Alvito Rodrigues and other police staff on patrolling duty intercepted Philip Ezekil Ugochyuku at Parra. When the police asked him to submit documents, the accused failed to produce any documents and he did not have a valid visa.
Later, the police arrested the accused for staying illegally in the country without any visa. The accused has been remanded 14 days judicial custody. Police is investigating the case.
