but added that the party had no intentions of sitting and having talks with Bharatiya Bhasha Suraksha Manch (BBSM). Speaking to mediapersons after the state executive party meeting, Tendulkar said the meeting, that was attended by party leaders as well as block and booth level party members, had not discussed or deliberated about the issue. “There is no conflict between RSS and BJP. Our stand has always been the same since the beginning, i.e. to continue grants to English medium schools, and it will continue,” he emphasised. He also informed that plans of implementing the special grant of `400 per student per month to primary schools imparting education in Marathi and Konkani medium will commence from the new academic year in June-July. In addition, Tendulkar also said that neither Parsekar nor any member of the executive committee would meet with any BBSM representatives. Tensions between the two organisations began when BJP general secretary Narendra Sawaikar during a press conference asked Goa RSS chief Subhash Velingkar to join politics and take the issue of MOI to the people. He also said the party was never a part of BBSM. BBSM in response to the comment pointed to the party as having lied about supporting their demands. Prior to the 2012 elections, BBSM said the party had pledged support to their demand to stop grants to English medium schools. In retaliation, BBSM had even burned effigies of Sawaikar, which the BJP said was uncalled for.
