Notice to mariners
PANAJI: Captain of Ports has informed that the special permission has been granted to those who have applied for permission for their barges to cross through Cumbarjua canal under Banastarim Bridge at their own risks. Loaded barges should enter the Cumbarjua canal from Zuari river side for proceeding to Mandovi river at least one hour before times of high water and empty barges should enter the Cumbarjua canal from Mandovi river side to Zuari river at the appropriate tides and depths available.
However, loaded barges should move from Madkai from the Zuari side ensuring proper timings of tides are taken into account to make the transit.
