Mandrem Police have arrested one Telangana Native in connection with a drug raid conducted during late night hours of 17th August 2024 till early morning of 18th August 2024.
As per SP North Porvorim Akshat Kaushal IPS reliable information was received regarding one person coming to supply drugs at Agarwado in Pernem. Accordingly a team was formed under the supervision of SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi, PI Mandrem Sherrif Jacques and other staff.
Further when the accused person arrived he was nabbed and a raid was conducted during which he was found in possession of 4.64 grams of powder suspected to be Ecstacy worth Rs.1,05,000/- and other articles.
The accused was identified as Syed Asif Jibran, S/o Syed Bakhthiar Hussain, age 36 years, temporary resident of Temwado Anjuna, Goa and native of Sitaphalmandi, Telengana.
Police also attached one Oppo A53 smart phone with sim card, and one yellow vespa
scooter bearing registration No. GA-03-AG-8305.
Accused was arrested U/sec. 22(b) of NDPS Act-1985 registered.
Further investigation is in progress with PSI Abhishek Chodankar under the supervision of SDPO Pernem Jivba Dalvi and SP North Akshat Kaushal, IPS.
