One dies in road mishap

PERNEM: A 43-year-old man died in a road accident along the highway at Velap-Pernem on Monday evening.

According to the police, they got information that one two-wheeler (GA-11-B-9336) and a man were lying on the road at Velap. The body was identified as that of Ramakant alias Shashikant Namdev Naik.

Police suspects that a vehicle must have dashed the scooter and fled away from the spot. Police is investigating the case.
