Sukhaji awarded PhD
PANAJI: Sukhaji G Naik, Vice-Principal of Prabodhan Education Society’s Vidya Prabodhini College of Commerce, Education, Computer and Management, Porvorim, was awarded a PhD Degree in Commerce for research thesis entitled 'Performance Analysis of Commercial Banks in Goa during the 10th & 11th Plans' by Shivaji University, Kolhapur. He was guided by Dr NY Rajashirke, Associate Professor and Head of Commerce dept, Vivekanand College, Kolhapur.
He studied the performance of commercial banks in Goa with regard to volume of business, credit to deposit ratio, annual credit plans and actual performance relating to agriculture, industry and service sector, priority sector lending and the attitude and perception of customers and bank officials towards the performance of commercial and co-operative banks.
He has also published three research papers relating to his research in different national journals and presented two research papers at UGC and ICSSR-sponsored national seminars.
